About HAPA
Young Alumnae
The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association was founded in 1929 and has been the social organization to bring sorority alumnae in the Houston area together. In recent years, due to the typical hours of HAPA and HAPF (Foundation) events, more recent alumnae were unable to participate and engage in the great local sisterhood.
In late 2025, it was determined to create an ad-hoc committee to find the answers to why younger women, specifically Millennials and Gen Z, are not participating in events and how to get them connected to HAPA and their sorority groups, as an alumnae member of their sorority. And thus, the HAPA Young Alumnae Committee was formed to connect graduating women, career alumnae, and current alumnae to get involved and bond in a sisterhood, whether they have a local sorority group or not.

Whether you choose to join the committee to aid us in our work, or just would like to attend events and stay connected, we are glad that you're here and we look forward to having you continue in sisterhood as an alumna!
About the Young Alumnae Committee
The Young Alumnae Committee does all of the work to ensure that alumnae interested in getting involved, can. Whether it's setting up events, reaching out to college seniors, or creating posts for social media - they're doing it all.

The YA Committee consists of a committee chair, two co-chairs, and four teams, each with their own team lead: Event Planning, Admin/Finance, Marketing, and Outreach.
-
Event Planning - plans and coordinates events
-
Admin/Finance - tracks all information and manages budget
-
Marketing - creates items for social media, puts together newsletter, and manages this website
-
Outreach - contacts universities and organizations to connect alumnae with HAPA and local sorority alumnae groups
If you are interested in one, two, or even all of the teams, we would be happy to have you join! We are always open to new ideas and alumnae that are looking to be more involved in the Panhellenic community.
